Ozark Kitchens & Baths is looking for a Master Plumber who would like a little change of pace. If you are a Master Plumber who would like to do other types of carpentry and remodeling work along with the occasional plumbing work, we are looking for you!

Why Do You Need To Be A Licensed Master Plumber?

We want to provide the best experience for our clients and we think having a licensed plumber who can pull permits and do the minor plumbing work we need will help the job go faster and smoother. This results in a great experience for our clients. We pay for the permits and you are covered under our insurance.

Trade Skills & Experience Required:

  • Construction Industry Experience: 5+ years
  • Active Master Plumber License in good standing
  • General Residential Construction Experience Such As:
  • Framing
  • Installation of windows and doors
  • Working knowledge of basic residential plumbing and electrical
  • Drywall repair, installation, and finishing.
  • Appliance installation
  • Trim Carpentry experience

Job Responsibilities:

Perform Kitchen and Bath remodeling work including but not limited to:

  • Demolition of cabinetry, countertops, flooring, kitchens, bathrooms, showers, drywall, framing etc.
  • Minor framing such as doorways, installing load bearing beams, removing or building walls.
  • Plumbing such as installing toilets, faucets, water lines, showers, and tubs.
  • Electrical such as installing light fixtures, connecting appliances, low voltage lighting, replacing receptacles and switches.
  • Drywall repairs, installation and making ready for paint.
  • All levels of trim/millwork installation including pre-finished moldings, crown, base, and doors.
  • Installation of all types of cabinetry, cabinet hardware, custom pieces
  • Installation of shower products such as waterproofing, backer board, and finished tub/shower wall panels
  • Shower door installation
  • Performing project management on larger projects such as:
  • Coordinating work with trades on site.
  • Problem solving with trades to achieve the best results for clients
  • Once given a job, know all the details and scope of work that is to be done. Create a plan for how best to accomplish the best results in the most time efficient manner without sacrificing quality.
  • Utilize and delegate tasks to other carpenters or apprentices
  • Maintain communication with clients and management with progress and schedule.
  • Notify clients of schedule changes, who will be in their home and when.
  • Make sure materials are where they need to be.

What a typical project might look like:

Bathroom or Kitchen Remodel-You will be given the scope of work that needs to be done as well as the Owner’s name and contact info. All the major materials needed will be ready at the shop for you to load and take to the job or you may need to pick up what is needed. You will meet with the homeowner and management before starting any work and discuss the process and where to start. You will protect the floors and house from dust and start demo.
Once all demo work is complete you will proceed to the next steps to complete the job, returning every day needed until the project is complete (or at a certain stage of completion). You will be responsible for the site to be clean every day. When given a project, you are to perform the work and when there are other carpenters and apprentices you will delegate tasks to them. You will also coordinate with trades and make sure everything is completed to the client’s satisfaction.
 

Compensation/Benefits Package:

  • This is a W-2 hourly wage position. Hourly pay based on experience and fit for position. Standard 40-hour week M-F. Overtime pay after 40 hours in a week.
  • Holidays: After 90 days, all team members are eligible for the following paid holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day + Team Member’s Birthday.
  • Paid Time Off. PTO is accrued and can be used after 90 days using a scale based off the amount of hours work.
  • $45 bonus per month to assist in your personal mobile phone plan expenses.
  • $200 bonus per month to assist in your personal health insurance plan expenses.
  • $50 for each qualified lead that specifically mentions your name when they contact OZKB, whether they purchase or not. A qualified lead is a person that needs services we offer and are legitimately interested in having the work done.
